It is true that the distinction between the term “Culture” on the one hand and “Civilization” on the other is not always easy to make – nonetheless we will try to make this differentiation clearer. From the perspective taken by Peace through Culture, the term civilization predominantly refers to a more technological, mechanical, external dimension with a limited effect with respect to duration of values – whereas culture must be attributed to the higher spiritual sphere creating true values over time.
